Getting married at Chugach State Park?
There is great access to Chugach State Park near Girdwood! From the Crow Pass Trail, to the Winner Creek Trail and gorge/hand tram, to Bird Point. Give us some extra time and we’ll show you some of the prettiest spots in Alaska that are right near the road.
Travel Tips for Chugach State Park:
Bring rubber boots or hiking shoes! Just about everywhere you go around Girdwood can be wet or muddy. Be flexible – if the weather is windy or rainy, we may have to move the location to a more protected area. This doesn’t mean it will be less scenic, but for example, if it is very windy, Turnagain Arm is not always the best choice. Most of the side valleys offer a lot of protection from the wind.
