Like many of our weddings this summer, Taylor and Stephen had to downsize their original wedding day plans. So, they reached out to us to help plan a magical elopement on their chosen date. After a couple of phone calls and email chats, we had their elopement planned!
We flew out of Girdwood with Alpine Air. One helicopter carried the officiant (Cian, with Celtic Ministries) and the two videographers (Tyler and Trevor, with The Wild & Beloved), and the other had the bride, groom, and Lena (our photographer).
It was definitely cloudy and rainy when departing from the Girdwood Airport. However, we were still able to make it through the mountain pass. Our first stop on a mountain ridgeline was a bit chilly and windy, so we didn’t stay too long. After a few photos, we took a quick hop to the Lake George Glacier wall. We all decided this was the perfect spot for their ceremony!
After that, we finally found some sun and warmth. We landed on a smooth rocky ridge overlooking Inner Lake George and the Colony Glacier. Here, Taylor and Stephen enjoyed a peaceful lunch and a humorous toast of Corona beers. Their magical day ended with exploring the Knik Glacier. The day was filled with numerous smiles, joyous laughs, and a lot of love!
