If I could describe this day in one word, it would be: community. Jessa and Taylor had an incredible community of friends, family, and even neighbors surrounding them with kind words, socially-distant air hugs, and lots of love.
We met them early in the morning for a sunrise first look. I know many people don’t want to get up early enough for a first look as the sun slowly creeps over the mountains. But, it definitely pays off to have the early morning light. After the first look, we met the wedding party at McHugh Creek for their portraits. We also played around the rocks at Beluga Point before heading to Jessa’s parent’s house for their beautiful backyard ceremony.
Hundreds of people signed on to Zoom for their ceremony. It was so special to see everyone come together from afar to support Jessa and Taylor. Then, after the ceremony, they had a drive-through reception. People showed up with balloons, cards, and many well-wishes. Such a fun and unique way to celebrate a marriage in the time of a pandemic!
