What a way to start the most beautiful month in Alaska history! Jennifer and Andrew came up from Arizona with a very small group – small enough that we could all fit into one helicopter. We flew out to the Colony Glacier and had a lovely ceremony on the ice, then proceeded to get on top of one of the nearby mountains to hang out and take photos. After we landed, we saw a couple small Super Cub airplanes flying around practicing formation flying techniques. I thought it might be fun to have them do a little flyby, so our helicopter pilot Pam got on the radio and asked them if they could fly by our little mountaintop perch. They were happy to oblige and we got some of the coolest wedding and airplane combo photos ever! Check these things out. Everyone says I need to enter them in some photo contest.. I don’t know about that, but I’m stoked on them 🙂
