On Monday I was in downtown Denver shooting Dena & John’s Engagement session in the area known as “Lodo” or “Lower Downtown”. They are coming up to Alaska in August for a destination wedding at the Inn at Tern Lake in Moose Pass, and I happened to be in Denver so it worked out well to do their engagement session while I was visiting. It was really cool to shoot in a big city again.. so much of what we do in Alaska is mountains and trees and rivers and ocean. We went to the train station, and got told by the security guard that we were allowed to take photos, as long as they weren’t any of those inappropriate photos. That was never the plan so we proceeded, cautiously, under the watchful eye of Hank the security guard, who will be retiring in 2 months after (what was likely) 50 years protecting the train station from photographers. We found some alleys that were fun, and ended the shoot on a bridge at sunset. A good day!
