On Saturday I teamed up with Chris Beck to Photograph Rebekah & Paul’s wedding at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel in Girdwood. It rained all day but we managed to get some amazing stuff along the Seward Highway at the end of the night! Check it out..!
Girdwood/Anchorage Wedding: Katelyn & Stephen at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel and the Crowne Plaza Hotel
Last week, former Chugach Peaks Photographer Nick Gillespie found his way back to Alaska to shoot some weddings back in the AK. In Nick’s words: “This was my first Alaska wedding in nearly 3 years and it was a great one. Katelyn and Steven had their ceremony at Our Lady of the Snows chapel in Girdwood and then headed back to town and had a fantastic reception at the Crown Plaza. The two of them decided to have a first look before the ceremony, which gave us tons of time for lots of locations and bride and groom photos. Everyone was a ton of fun and great to work with. Days like today make me really miss Alaska – especially when it’s 95 degrees back in North Carolina.”
On Saturday I was at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel and the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood for Jamie and Patrick’s wedding. These guys were all smiles, all day, so it made it pretty easy to capture good moments and fun times. Before the ceremony I hung out with the bridesmaids and groomsmen while they got ready, then we did a trip to the top of the mountain and had some great blue skies to work with. It was a bit of de-ja-vu for me – exactly 5 years to the day, March 17 2007, I was at Alyeska for Katie and Clint’s wedding and the weather was exactly the same; Relatively warm, and bluebird.. After the top of the mountain session we headed to the Chapel for the ceremony and family pics, then back to the hotel for the reception. It was a great day and we got a lot of fun photos!
