Yana and Haldeman were married just outside of Charleston, South Carolina this weekend at a beautiful church in the town of Summerville. The reception was held at a private residence nearby. Yana grew up in Alaska and she met Haldeman while they were going to school in Colorado Springs. Haldeman is in the Air Force but grew up in South Carolina. It was a gorgeous day and we are very thankful they chose us to photograph their wedding! Joe photographed the wedding of Yana’s sister on O’ahu a few years ago. Don’t forget, we love to travel!
Stephanie and Andrew were married at Alyeska Resort with a big group of family and friends in attendance – this was quite the party! Before it all started, we met up for some getting ready photos and a little journey around Girdwood for some scenic photos. R&R Productions kept the grooves going all night long and we got some excellent dancing photos 🙂 Check out all the goods below!
Eva & Dan were married at Eva’s family property in Excursion Inlet on July 31st, a secluded bay about 35 miles northwest of Juneau as the bird, or in this case, Turbine Otter flies. Some of the guests arrived by plane, and some arrived by boat. With everyone safely ashore, a beautiful ceremony took place in the forest in an opening that was cut only a few weeks prior. Their initials were carved into a tree and log benches constructed from the trees which were cut to make the opening large enough for their guests. After the ceremony, a dinner of fresh crab, salmon, halibut, shrimp and oysters, all locally caught, was served up with an impressive assortment of cheeses, meats, and deserts. For being an “off-grid” wedding, this was spectacular! The dancing went on right up until the last boat left for the evening, and likely longer as some of the guests camped out for the night. Eva and Dan had some amazing friends and family – you could see how genuinely happy everyone was for them, and happy to share the fun and love of their day. This was one of our favorite weddings of the summer, thank you guys for bringing us down! 🙂

We will post a list of the winners as soon as we can! Good luck!
Jenelle and Royce were married at the Chapel by the Sea in Honolulu on O’ahu. They didn’t have a big reception the night of the wedding, so we ended up driving around and doing photos on the east side of the island, and hurried back to the west side to catch a gorgeous sunset. We didn’t have a lot of time to get there, but we arrived at the perfect time to capture the best part of the evening light. If you’re getting married in Hawaii, be sure to plan some time around sunset for photos.. everyone loves sunset photos 🙂
