On Wednesday evening the 29th of February, leap year no less, I was shooting Rhealyn and Chris’s wedding along the banks for the sorta-frozen Kenai River where the mouth empties into Cook Inlet. I guess they only wanted to celebrate their anniversary once in 4 years.. does that make it easier, or harder to remember your anniversary date? It was pretty epic lighting while the sun was up and we got some amazingly beautiful stuff with fog and setting sun and snow-sparkles all over the place. I couldn’t get enough. Unfortunately, it was also really really cold. I don’t know exactly how cold, but I think it was in the 0 to -5 range. The outdoor ceremony was short and sweet, for anything longer and people would have started succumbing to the elements.. I know my hands were going numb despite my light shooting gloves. Despite the low light the ceremony lighting was still nice. Food, drink and dancing followed!
