Fairbanks Wedding: Tiffany & Dawn

One of the great things about shooting for Chugach Peaks is the ability to travel the state and capture some amazing weddings. I can honestly say we are not afraid of travel and working long days – in fact, we LOVE IT! Saturday morning at 5am fellow Chugach Peaks Photographer Ralph and I headed to the airport for an awesome wedding in Fairbanks! Arriving in Fairbanks around 9am, cameras ready Ralph and I split up to cover the action of Dawn and Tiffany’s wedding. During the day, while Ralph hung out with the groomsmen and I the bridesmaids, we were able to get some amazing shots in a photographers paradise – Pioneer Park (aka Alaskaland). Despite the rain, we all had a blast getting some great images. Keeping with tradition and not letting the two see each other before the ceremony we headed to the UAF Botanical Gardens for the ceremony. After the ceremony we kidnapped Dawn and Tiffany to get some alone time, and drive around Fairbanks for candids. The fall colors on the trees were amazing that weekend, and in full bloom. At the end of the shoot we drove them (hey we’re a full service shop, we’ll drive you around!) to Birch Ski Hill where friends and family had done an amazing job decorating for the event. Dawn and Tiffany made a grand entrance by dancing their way into the room with a choreographed routine! They truly have some amazing friends and family, and Ralph and I had a great time shooting the wedding. (Editors Note) Using 2 photographers for your wedding is a choice that shouldn’t be over looked. Chugach Peaks has a team of truly amazing photographers, and having more of them at your wedding always us to be in more places, catching more of the action. We also get a chance to collaborate on shots giving you some amazing results. -Chris Beck
