On Sunday I was at the Alaska Native Heritage Center for Sophie & Joe’s wedding. They were married in front of the pond by Sophie’s grandfather who flew up from South Africa. A little Jewish heritage was celebrated with the traditional breaking of the glass by the groom and a Hora dance at the end of the reception, where Sophie and Joe were hoisted into the air in chairs and paraded around the dance floor. Joe and his guys also treated the crowd to their version of Bohemian Rhapsody, which was actually done quite well. They were a super sweet couple and had a totally fun wedding! Lots of dancers made for some great dance shots throughout the reception. A bubble-blowing exit at the end of the night sent them off…
