When I was asked to photograph Stephanie and Nick’s wedding in Italy last year, I was immediately excited because I knew this would be a great shoot. The destination wedding was to be held in Capri, which I’d heard of before but didn’t know anything about. Turns out this is a really nice place! One of the nicest “warm places” I’ve been! We had tons of yummy Italian food and wine and spent some time exploring the island and seeing the sights on the other days we were there. When it came time for the wedding, we started off by going to the highest point on the island, which is conviently served by a chairlift. Once there, the cool ocean breeze blowing up the cliffs was refreshing and we had a great time walking around taking pictures. Then we headed back down the mountain and walked around town which was full of cute and colorful buildings. The ceremony was held on the upper balcony of the Capri Palace hotel, which lived up to it’s namesake – the place was pretty spectacular and if you want to get treated like royalty, go there. The ceremony was followed by a dinner for 6 – that’s right, the only people there were the bride and groom, the bride’s parents, and my wife Brook and I… So it was definitely very small and intimate! There were so many photos I couldn’t help but make a giant post!
