On Sunday I was back in Girdwood for Jacy and Dave’s small and intimate wedding – the perfect way to end a 3 wedding weekend. There were only 30 people, and it was a totally relaxed and mellow atmosphere. We had some of Cathy’s great food at Raven Glacier Lodge, hung out a bit, then Jacy and Dave got married by the pond. Some family photos and more socializing followed by dessert and then it was off to Anchorage for more food and family time. We stopped along the way at a few of my secret spots (like Beluga Point – no one knows about that place).. and then another spot that a lot of people really don’t know about, then to Jacy’s parent’s house near Potter Creek. Jacy’s step dad cooked up more good food and it was great. Dave is big into Astrophysics which of course I think is awesome – I’ve had multiple telescopes since I was 10 years old… and he even has constellation tattoos! Jacy is into archeology (or is it anthropology? Sorry..! we’ll have to get confirmation later..) so it was fitting that we did some pictures at Beluga Point, which is one of the most productive artifact sites in the state.
